Any time I believe that I am better than someone else, I am self-righteous and I have become an enemy of God. This doesn't make me better than them, just different. The problem is that most people are unaware of it. So if I follow Jesus I must care about what He cares about. I believe Jesus loves the lost world so much that He died for it. Oh I almost forgot we are also here for the followers of Christ who have been redeemed, and are willing to sacrifice their comfort to reach the others that we're here for. As I sit here still thinking about what we are, it is still hard to put into words, but here is an attempt at it.ĭriven Life is a church for the abandoned, the abortionist, the addict, the alcoholic, the angry, the broken, the bisexual, the confused, the crazy, the depressed, the divorced, the drug dealer, the ex-con, the exotic dancer, the freak, the gay, the geek, the handicapped, the homeless, the hungry, the hurting, the idiot, the idol worshipper, the jack-, the judged, the kids, the lesbian, the lost, the mad, the mentally ill, the molested, the naturalist, the nerd, the outcasts, the pathological liar, the pornographer, the prostitute, the queer, the ridiculed, the religious, the stoner, the stripper, the slut, the stupid, the torn, the tormented, the ugly, the unchurched, the unwanted, the victim, the weird, the wasted, the wild, the X generation, the Yankee (sorry, I couldn't think of a “y” word), and the zero, because we ALL need Jesus. It is not as easy as saying we are Baptist, Methodist, Church of Christ, or even Non-denominational.

We have always had a hard time answering that questions because there is no short easy answer and people don't want to hear a sermon. Sometimes we drift a little, but all-in-all the answer is still the same. Lately I have been giving that question a lot of thought. We used to give an answer based on what we thought it should become because we were developing. What is Driven Life? This is a question I have been asked often over the last 10 years.
